Hi, we’re Dan and Amber — the husband-and-wife team behind Great Lakes Fishing Rentals.
For as long as I can remember, fishing has been my passion. When I bought my first boat and started venturing out onto the Great Lakes, I was hooked and fell in love with the big water. There’s nothing quite like the adrenaline of a king salmon hammering a lure or the rush of seeing a trophy walleye hit the net. Those moments are pure magic.
But as we took more fishing trips, one thing stood out: it was tough to find places that worked well for anglers and families alike. We’d see plenty of listings with cozy wine glasses and board games, but few that showed room for boats, trucks, or gear — let alone a nearby marina. And when we did bring our kids or family along, we wanted somewhere comfortable, clean, and inviting for everyone, not just the fishermen.
That’s where the idea for Great Lakes Fishing Rentals was born. We wanted to create spaces that check every box: convenient for anglers, welcoming for families, and comfortable for any traveler looking to enjoy the beauty and charm of the Great Lakes region.
